Water Cooling Plates: A Powerful Tool for Heat Dissipation

Water cooling plates, also known as liquid cooling plates, are the key components that exchange heat through liquid cooling. They play an important role in water-cooling radiators. The interior of the water cooling plate is equipped with channels, usually manufactured using advanced processes such as friction welding and vacuum welding. Compared to traditional air-cooling systems, water cooling plate cooling systems have higher heat dissipation efficiency and lower noise levels.

Cheeven is based on aviation technologies such as stir friction welding, precision machining, special processing, and surface technology to provide customers in fields like new energy vehicles, energy storage, power, and 5G with water cooling plates, electrical control boxes, battery trays, and other water-cooling structural parts and heating sheets. As a professional water cooling plate supplier, Cheeven offers high-quality water cooling plates at favorable wholesale prices, which are inseparable from its mastery of EV battery tray FSW technology.

Operating Principle

The water cooling plate is a device that uses the high heat capacity and thermal conductivity of water to reduce the temperature of equipment. First, the water cooling plates directly contact electronic components, transferring the heat generated by the electronic components to the water cooling plate. Inside the water cooling plates are multiple water channels; through the inlet and outlet, the water circulation system allows cold water to flow into the water cooling plates, carrying away the heat, then through pipelines to the heat exchanger for heat exchange with cold air. The cooled liquid then returns to the heat-absorbing equipment, thus cycling continuously.

The water cooling plate is a high thermal conductivity component, typically made of copper or aluminum, and has an embedded water circulation system. It is widely used in battery pack cooling solutions and is superior to traditional air-cooling methods. Aluminum is the preferred material due to its low density and high thermal conductivity. Additionally, the water cooling plates are made of special alloy materials, featuring very high thermal conductivity, which quickly transfers the heat from the water-cooling liquid to the desired component, achieving rapid cooling. Simultaneously, the water cooling plate is also energy-saving, environmentally friendly, compact, lightweight, and easy to install.

Application Fields

Water cooling plates are widely used in the field of electronic power, such as control, conversion, drive, signal transmission, and other areas. With the deepening promotion of new energy vehicle thermal management by the state, the new energy vehicle industry has garnered more attention. Water cooling plates play a unique role in new energy vehicle power battery cooling, UPS and energy storage system cooling, large server cooling, photovoltaic inverter cooling, and other fields. In addition, water cooling plates are also commonly used in IGBT, SVG, SVC, APF, MOSFET, inverters, welding equipment, communication devices, instruments, control cabinets, and other fields.

In summary, water cooling plates are an ideal cooling solution for modern high efficiency, low noise, and low-temperature operation. They play an important role in modern industries, electronics, and communication fields, improving equipment performance, reliability, and energy efficiency through effective cooling and temperature control, providing crucial support for the development of various industries.
